A life of faith and service
Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya is the founder and global General Overseer of Mountain of Fire & Miracles Ministries and The Battle Cry Christian Ministries. His work encompasses preaching, teaching, evangelism, and Christian writing.
He graduated with first-class honours in Microbiology from the University of Lagos and earned a PhD in Molecular Genetics at the University of Reading in the United Kingdom. His background includes scientific research at the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research.
It began with prayer
In 1989, Dr. Olukoya brought together 23 people for a prayer meeting in his living room. That gathering became a continuing fellowship. As more people attended, the meetings moved to 60 Old Yaba Road in Lagos and eventually required larger premises.
From those beginnings, MFM developed into a worldwide ministry. Prayer, biblical teaching, holiness, and dependence on the Holy Spirit remain central to its message. Dr. Olukoya and his wife, Shade, have a son, Elijah Toluwani.
